Jennifer Kelly

Hi.  My name is Jennifer Kelly, and I have a passion for educating young children.  As a military wife and mom, I spent twenty years traveling around the world raising four children.

In 1994  I earned my B.A. degree in English from Texas A&M Kingsville.  In 2011 I went back to school to get my teaching credential at Reedly College in California, a National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited school.  There I earned a Master Teacher Certificate and Site Supervisor Certificate as a Preschool Educator.

In 2012 my family and I moved back to the Tampa area.  I began my teaching career at a private preschool (VPK), and I loved every minute of the teaching experience.    I celebrated the children’s achievements, and my classes did wonderful, achieving very high Kindergarten Readiness Ratings.   I also quickly discovered that educating children required support from the parent, that by working together with the parent children were successful.

As a mom looking for tools to help me effectively deal with four active children, I was turned on to various programs for parenting.  I won’t venture to list them all, but the one that stuck with me as a parent, and helped me tremendously as a teacher, was the Love and Logic philosophy.  I read the book “Parenting With Love & Logic”, and as my kids got older I read “Parenting Teens With Love & Logic”.  These tools became second nature for me to use in my daily life with my kids, my students… and sometimes my husband.  I felt so comfortable with the process I wanted to offer what I had learned to the parents of my students.  In order to do that I had to become an Independent Facilitator of the Love and Logic Curriculum®.  So here we are.

My desire is to help children by empowering parents to be the best they can be.  I hope you will join me.  Thank you.
